About
About Family Legacy Recovery
A Utah company that helps former owners and their families recover tax sale surplus. One person does the work, and you can check us before you call.

Meet the founder
Michael Drawe
For 16 years, Michael worked in technical support, customer service, claims and account management. The job was always the same: listening to people describe a problem, working out what was really going on, and staying with them until it was solved. Family Legacy Recovery is the same work. He handles every case himself, and when we call, it's him on the line, not a call center. If you'd rather not hear from us again, that's the end of it. Today we take claims in Georgia.
Michael's parents had a picture of the life they were going to build together. One of his earliest memories is from when he was five. It was a cold fall night, two in the morning. Their dad had been away in Germany for a couple of weeks. Being apart from him wasn't normal for them, and he and his brothers and sisters were so excited to have him home that they stood outside without jackets, waiting for him to step off the bus. The trip alone had already stretched the family's budget, and taking Michael's mom too would have been even harder, so she stayed home. His dad thought there would be time to take her on another trip later. There wasn't. A few years later, she died.
Nothing went the way they had planned. His dad changed jobs to raise his children on his own. He started his own business making seven dollars an hour, and worked while they were at school and while they were asleep, so he could be there when they were home.
Families who lose a home to unpaid taxes usually aren't careless. Life went somewhere they never planned: an illness, a death, a job that ended, a parent who couldn't keep up anymore. Then a tax bill was missed, and the house was gone.
That's why Michael started Family Legacy Recovery. When life has already taken a turn nobody planned, he wants to help a family get back what may still be theirs, and make the next part a little easier.
Why the name: to Michael, a family's legacy isn't only the property. It's what a family builds, even when life changes the plan.

Is this legitimate?
You're right to be careful.
A stranger calling about money is exactly what a scam sounds like. So here is what protects you. None of it asks you to take our word for it.
We'll tell you more on the phone, and everything once you've signed up. Until then it costs you nothing.
The number we call from is the one on this page: 385-787-6279. If you'd rather we didn't call again, tell us and we won't.
Before you sign anything, we will never ask you for
If someone who says they're from Family Legacy Recovery asks for any of these before you've signed, it isn't us.
